  • Condition: This TOY is well worn on surfaces, but is still brightly colored in many areas, and sounds good rolling. Has some rust on inside of wheels. Heavy toy that stays upright when pulled by rope that was attached originally to metal pull harness. Rolls well while making sounds from wheels.

    Description

    This ‘Jingling Jim” pull toy is well used but steel reeks of vintage charm. Makes a loud jingling / ringing bell mixture, as it moves. Simple painted face on clown is just barely visible, but still there on top round piece. Rope pull is long gone.
    I believe this to be from the 1920’s to 1940’s period, but I am no expert on these. Manufacturer was the GONG BELL MANUFACTURING CO. That closed in the 1960’s.
